Workshop "Zebrafish: Husbandry, Care and Welfare"


FGB and University College London (UCL) organise a workshop on housing, care and welfare of Zebrafish used for scientific purposes. The workshop will take place in the recently renovated aquatic facilities of UCL, London, UK.

CPD Credits:

36 CPD credits by the Royal Society of Biology.

12 CPD points by IAT

1.5 day continuing education  for person carrying out procedures on animals and person designing procedures and projects by Swiss Veterinarian Associations

 

 

Recipients:

Professionals, animal caretakers and technicians, who relatively recently started a career in aquatics.

All participants are encouraged to bring along their own case studies for a
group discussion.

Contents:

The workshop will include a theoretical part and hands-on practical training sessions.
Topics are: how to run a aquatics facility? Large scale stock management, disease and health issues.
You will actually be introduced to techniques like: fin clipping, sperm freezing and IVF and embryo injection.
